Description
House Museum of Vladimir Lenin
House Museum of Vladimir Lenin in Samara is a branch of Samara Regional Museum of Local History named after P.V. Alabin, a cultural heritage site of federal importance. The museum occupies a former merchant house of the last quarter of the 19thcentury. There, in the house of Samara merchant Rytikov, the Ulyanov family rented an apartment on the first floor from May 1890 to August 1893. At that time Vladimir Ulyanov received legal education and started work for Samara District Court: there his worldview was formed, a Marxist group was established, and his first theoretical work was written. Currently, the ground floor of the museum houses the exhibition area. The first floor accommodates static memorial and household display “Apartment of the Ulyanov family in Samara. 1890-1893” that recreates the daily life and the atmosphere of life of a Russian intelligent family of the last quarter of the 20thcentury.
