11. "Novena and Nativity Scene" House Museum
Monedoro’s museum trail was created to commemorate the most significant aspects of the town’s past which were characterized especially by religious traditions that, just like the seasons, set the rhythm of daily life, as well as the community’s activities. The celebration of the Nativity in Montedoro is documented through the displays in the house museumLa novena e il presepe(Novena and Nativity Scene) on via Montecroce. The museum features two small rooms: one dedicated to the novena tradition and one to the nativity scene.The novena exhibition is a meticulous representation of the tales by Luise Hamilton Caico from the book “Vicende e costumi siciliani”. The Nativity scene display features a model by artist Roberto Vanadia, remarkable for its precise detail.
